About IT for Change:
We are a Bengaluru based non-profit working at the intersection of technology and society. IT for Change aims for a
society in which digital technologies contribute to human rights, social justice and equity. Our work in the areas of
education, gender, governance, community informatics and internet/digital policies push the boundaries of existing
vocabulary and practice, exploring new development and social change frameworks.
IT for Change is looking to recruit consultants with familiarity of the research site to support this research process. The details are given below.

Job Description
Field/Site: SEWA
Position: Senior
Title: Field Consultant
Duration of contract: April 2023 – March 2024
Compensation: Maximum fee of Rs. 7,80,000 for the entire contract period
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with Junior Research Consultant and team members of SEWA to manage field data collection at the project research site
2. Conduct secondary research on the state of agriculture, role of women farmers, and status of digital inclusion in the two districts
3. Monitor and report on the status of the baseline
4. Finalise the baseline research report on the basis of the research design finalized by IT for Change
5. Submit monthly progress documentation reports to IT for Change in a mutually agreed format, after the conclusion of the baseline review, and participate in monthly reporting calls
6. Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
2. Basic knowledge of software such as MS Office, specifically Word and Excel
3. Ability to work as part of a team
4. Minimum 8 years previous experience of working in a development organisation
5. Demonstrated project management skills
6. Experience coordinating surveys
7. Familiarity with the agriculture sector and value chains
8. Proficient in Gujarati and English
