Diyaben (Healthcare co-op) #WomenofSEWA

Diyaben (70 years) joined Lok Swasthya Mandli two years ago: ‘when I step into the office, I forget my sorrows at home. We are like a family here and being with SEWA sisters makes me really happy.’

Diyaben and her son are the only earning members of her family. Her husband is unemployed. Before LSM, she worked for a clothes manufacturing company, making Re. 1 per clothing piece. She earned a maximum of Rs. 40 a day. ‘After joining LSM, I am more financially stable and have more savings. I will go for a holiday to Ujjain soon!’

Diyben specialises in making Amla powder, but also does packaging, labelling and bottling of various products.
